Strata, the acclaimed trio of Nathan Williams, clarinet; James Stern, violin/viola; and Audrey Angriest, piano, presents chamber music featuring German Romanticism, Parisian charm, Eastern exoticism, and American swagger: Trio by Aram Khachaturian, Double Concerto, op. 33, by Max Bruch, Trio by Jean Françaix, and Slang, written in 1994 by the exciting Libby Larsen: “jazz and boogie slang and 20th-century ‘new music’ slang”. Playing together for 30 years, Strata’s combined credits encompass numerous international prizes and performances across four continents. Intimate chamber setting, family-friendly, exciting music.
