When families experience hardship, sometimes the last thing on their mind is how to provide Christmas gifts for their children, but for 18 years running, the Pasadena Business Association has striven to ensure that every child has a happy holiday through the gift drive A Child’s Christmas. This year, the committee expects to help as many as 100 children from 40 families.

What sets A Child’s Christmas apart from other gift drives is that it helps families right here within the community of Pasadena who are referred to the PBA committee by guidance counselors from local schools. By mid-November, the counselors will submit wish lists to the committee members, who will match the children and families to sponsors. Sponsors can either purchase gifts for the children and their families or make a monetary donation. The money will be used to buy gifts for families who were not sponsored or to pay for gift cards to purchase a holiday dinner. Anyone wishing to be a sponsor should contact the PBA office at pasadenabusinessassociation1@verizon.net.
