Each month, the Pasadena Voice poses a question to a local fifth-grade class. This month, Mrs. Laurie’s class at Fort Smallwood Elementary School answered the question:

What is your favorite memory from last summer?

My favorite memory of the summer is when we went to see the Barcelona vs. Manchester United game, because I actually got to see my favorite player, Lionel Messi.

Aydan S.

Mason’s party was so fun and cool. We had a great time.

Cameron S.

My favorite summer memory is going to Busch Gardens because I got to see all the cool sights, ride all the cool rides and see the reactions of my parents.

Colby T.

My favorite summer memory was having all of my friends come over for a sleepover, because it reminded me of our friendship.

Curtis C.

My favorite summer memory is going to Myrtle Beach to see the full solar eclipse, and watching my little sister walk for the first time.

D’Yani W.

When I was on FaceTime with Natalee for an hour.

Ernie W.

My best summer memory is going to the Chesapeake Beach Water Park because the water slides were awesome. I had fun hanging out with Morgan, Brayden, my mom and Mrs. Kim. This was the best memory ever!

Ethan K.

My favorite summer memory is when I went to New York City with my family in a big van.

Hailey C.

My favorite memory of this past summer is going to the dirt-bike track with my cousin, because riding is so much fun.

JR M.

Going camping with my best friend, Ernie, and teaching my cousin to ride an ATV.

Justin M.

My favorite memory of summer is when I was swimming and put my hand in the water. It was freezing cold. I accidently fell in!

Kailyn B.

My favorite summer memory is teaching my baby cousin how to say my name.

Karlie A.

I went to Virginia Beach with my mom, dad, aunt and uncle. It was the best summer I’ve ever had!

Kendra L.

My favorite memory from this past summer is going to Ocean City with my friend Olivia, because we had a lot of fun.

Leah M.

I had three friends over to swim and play. This was my favorite because I got to play with my friends that I usually don’t get to play with. Two of them had never been on a four-wheeler, so I let them ride mine. It was really fun.

Leo M.

My favorite memory from this past summer was when my friend Austin, my brother Greyson and I built a huge fort that we tried to sleep in. There were blankets for the ceiling, furniture for the walls, and our own air conditioning. It was the most extraordinary fort I’ve ever built.

Logan B.

This summer, I was super excited to move and to meet my new teacher, Mrs. Laurie. When I found out she was my teacher, I screamed!

Maddie W.

Having my birthday party at a trampoline park with all of my friends.
