Each month, the Pasadena Voice poses a question to a local fifth-grade class. This month, Ms. Fleck’s class at Sunset Elementary School answered the question:

What is your favorite memory from this school year?

My favorite memory is sports club, and it was fun staying after school and playing games.

Austin F.

My last band concert is my favorite memory because the song “Dragon Master” was in it and that was my favorite song.

Brooke C.

When I got accepted to join sports club and the first day of sports club.

Demetrius H.

My favorite memory was when my exhibition group presented on exhibition night. I feared my group was going to laugh and play around the whole time, but they didn't, and it went really well.

Emma R.

When I finished exhibition. My group worked very hard to accomplish this goal, trying to get a good grade. We never gave up. My group kind of worked together a little bit, but then the other side our group didn't work together some days.

Gavin C.

My favorite memory from this school year was when we went to Historic London Town and Gardens. We learned a lot and saw how they lived in colonial times.

Genna R.

Making butter on Colonial Day and Field Day is my favorite memory from this school year.

Hadia A.

My favorite memory this year is being able to do the space project for math.

Hailey Z.

Exhibition is my favorite memory because it felt like we were making a change in society, in our community, and we got to know each other more. Most importantly, we had fun!

Jack J.

“The Lion King Jr.” play was my favorite memory from this school year.

Joiya L.

Going to London Town was really cool because we learned some stuff, but we also had fun. We went to the William Brown house. Some people got to dress up as a colonist and I got picked.

Jose T.

For this year, my favorite memory was doing exhibition. It was so fun being able to do all of this work with some friends.

Kayla B.

My favorite memory from this school year was when we went to London Town because it was cool seeing what life was like back in colonial times.

Laila S.

My favorite memory from this year was Field Day because we all had fun.

Laina B.

My solar system art project. I made two planets and the sun from tracing different-sized round container lids, and the meteor was a cup lid. I also made a NASA ship from basic geometry shapes from construction paper.

Nathan K.

My favorite memory of the school year is Field Day because we had teamwork and it was a lot of fun for all of us in fifth grade.

Sean W.

Exhibition was my favorite part because we had worked so hard and practiced, and it was like lifting an anvil off of my shoulders. We advised many people about orphans and how to help them. I know that we have all made a difference.

Shawn K.

My favorite memory was making butter and art on Colonial Day.

Shyanna H.
