Chesapeake XC Represents At States

A contingent of Cougar cross country runners represented Chesapeake at the state championship meet at Hereford High School on November 10. Just getting to the state championship meet is a tremendous accomplishment in itself, and the Cougar boys took 11th as a team in the 21-team, 154-runner field in the 3A race. Chesapeake’s Dylan Wolfe (20th), Liam Rhodes (47th), Austin Samuel (70th), John Yayi-Bondje (77th), Hayden Healey (97th), Connor Wolfe (118th) and Brennan Penafiel (148th) all ran for the Cougars in the boys 3A race. Chesapeake freshman Bailey Healy ran in the girls 3A race and finished 38th in the 137-runner field.
