Chesapeake Boys Win Playoff Tilt At Decatur, 11-10

Posted

A regular-season record of 7-7 for the Chesapeake boys lacrosse team was deceptive in 2019, as the Cougars suffered a pair of one-goal losses to Arundel and Annapolis and another two-goal loss to South River.

But the playoffs is a new season, and the Cougars started theirs with a bang. On May 10, the Cougars traveled all the way to Stephen Decatur High School outside of Ocean City and came away with an 11-10 victory.

Dylan Wolfe led all scorers with seven goals and added an assist in the win, while Thomas Bullen (three goals), Max Fletcher (a goal and two assists), Victor Listorti (two assists) and Jessie McWilliams (one assist) all made the score sheet and goalie Evan Winterbottom came up huge with an astounding 23 saves to hold off a late comeback attempt by the Seahawks.
