Fall Craft Fair

Posted

Marley Glen Special School in Glen Burnie, MD is holding a Fall Craft Fair on Saturday, November 2nd from 9am to 2pm as a fundraiser to support various PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) events throughout the year, including the Holiday Shop Day in December.

Marley Glen is a special education center school within the Anne Arundel County Public Schools system. Marley Glen services approximately 150 students with moderate to severe disabilities. This includes students who are nonverbal, medically fragile, have severe behavioral challenges, and physical disabilities.

Marley Glen’s PBIS committee is responsible for developing and maintaining a school wide positive reinforcement system that encourages students to demonstrate safety towards themselves and others, as well as independence in academic work and life skills. This includes planning and running several school-wide events throughout the year, such as the Holiday Shop Day. The Holiday Shop Day gives students an opportunity to shop for their families, while inviting families into the building to gather valuable information from community resources and to enjoy great food and music.

Marley Glen will host approximately 30 local craft vendors for the Spring Craft Fair. General admission is free. Vendors include a variety of artists, soap makers, jewelry makers, wood workers, dress makers and various other unique talents.
