Girl Scout Earns Gold Award

Emily Solley of Girl Scout Troop 10238 from Pasadena completed her Take Action project for her Gold Award, the highest award level of the Girl Scouts of America, on the weekend of March 6-7. Emily saw a need and set a lofty goal to complete the project. She planned, coordinated volunteers, raised funding, and received many contributions from local business owners as well as friends and family to update the "little house" at Camp Whippoorwill in Pasadena. Emily's sole objective was to provide a better camping experience for future campers for many years to come.
