Cafe Mezzanotte

Long considered one of the premiere romantic restaurants in the area, Cafe Mezzanotte also gets an added high-five for using local, organic ingredients for its in-house dining, banquets and catering.

Asked about some of the most requested dishes, Michael "Mikey" Reigle, Cafe Mezzanotte's director of catering, said that customers love the restaurant’s "grazing station" with cured meats, imported cheeses, marinated veggies and more. Another top selection is the 90-mile meatballs, a dish where all the ingredients come from within 90 miles of the restaurant.

Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A is a good pick that most will love, especially families with kids. Choose from salads, wraps, chicken nuggets, strips and tenders, and more. The bundle package allows everyone to build their own sandwich with grilled chicken breasts, multigrain brioche buns, honey-roasted barbecue sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, colby jack cheese, and bacon. It's $77 and serves 10 people, so you get a great taste at a bargain price. Also, don't forget the macaroni and cheese, fresh fruit, and cookie and brownie trays.

Severna Park Taphouse

Grab some party platters from the Severna Park Taphouse for a more relaxed holiday vibe. Pick up some jumbo wings with homemade ranch or blue cheese dressing. Maybe you prefer the "Triple Play Platter” with wings, crab balls, and steamed shrimp or the buffalo chicken dip tray with toasted crostini. Each platter serves approximately 20 guests. The Social

The Social is the new kid in town. Although the restaurant is not set up for catering yet, it is a great spot for special holiday meals. Takeout and delivery are available. The Social has a variety of food that will tickle your taste buds - maple bourbon deviled eggs, grilled flatbreads, crispy Brussels sprouts, shrimp and grits, rockfish, pasta primavera, plus sandwiches, salads and scrumptious desserts.

Garry's Grill

Garry's Grill is another Severna Park favorite. You can keep your planning simple with a fruit and cheese display with various kinds of offerings served with assorted crackers. You can also pick the crab fondue, smoked salmon, mini crab cakes and chilled tenderloin. There are entree salads, sandwiches and pasta — an extensive menu.

Dan Hansen, a front house manager at Garry's Grill, said sesame chicken, tenderloin, and Chesapeake pasta are customer favorites.

Check out JB's for a comfy and easy holiday gathering. There's plenty of food to pick from — wings, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, salads, sides and even desserts.

Founders Tavern & Grille

Founders Tavern & Grille doesn't offer catering yet, but the staff promised that it's coming for winter 2023. However, Founders hosts many holiday luncheons and dinners for up to 35 people. The staff also provides lunch carryout for local businesses.

The staff said customers especially love the Yankee pot roast and fried chicken. Other favorites are their shrimp and grits, pizzas and burgers.
