Leadership Anne Arundel (LAA), the premier leadership training and networking institute in Anne Arundel County, announces the 5th Annual Food Collection Event scheduled for Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at M&T Bank Parking lot, 170 Jennifer Road in Annapolis.

In partnership with the Anne Arundel County Food Bank, M&T Bank, UM BWMC and Luminis Health, LAA is calling on members of the community to unite and make a lasting impact by donating healthy food and new clothing. This year, LAA has an exciting opportunity to donate much-needed blood with the help of Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Blood Mobile.

The community at-large is invited to join this cause by providing monetary donations at: https://aafoodbank.org/donate/ or by donating healthy food and new clothing curbside during the event. Donations are also accepted prior to March 29 at collection sites throughout Anne Arundel County, including M&T Bank Branches. Additional collection sites will be updated on the event page: www.leadershipaa.org/foodcollection2025.

Donations will support essential community resources, including: Anne Arundel County Food Bank, Luminis Blood Bank, UM BWMC Clothing Closet. Items in most need include:
•Canned meats
•Peanut butter & jelly (plastic jars)
•Boxed pasta & sauce (plastic jars)
•Healthy snacks (breakfast bars, dried fruit)
•Cereal
•Soups/canned meals
•Mac n Cheese

LAA Alumni are invited to register on the LAA website to participate as volunteers, directing food and blood donors and collecting, sorting, and loading food donations.

“What began as a way to bring our alumni together during the extraordinary early days of the covid pandemic, has turned into a beloved annual service event to gather much needed resources during the spring, when resources are in desperate need of replenishing,” says LAA President & CEO, Kris Valerio Shock. “We are proud to support and amplify the leadership and generosity of the LAA community and look forward to far surpassing last year’s donations. Together, we can make a tangible difference and support those in need—by coming together to show the true strength of our community.”
