PBA Update

Posted

I can’t believe it is April already. It is hard to fathom, but spring is around the corner.

I know we all have a little cabin fever and are ready to get out in our yards and start beautifying our homes. Remember to check our Membership Directory and Community Guide or our website, www.pasadenabusinessassociation.com, for your needs. Under the directory listing, click on a category you need for the many PBA members ready to help you with your goods or services. These are the businesses that help support the community, so we need to support them.

PBA will host its ninth annual Taste of Pasadena at Kurtz’s Beach on May 1 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. What a great opportunity to sample foods from our local restaurants. Fifer’s Craft House will provide craft beer samples. We will also offer a coupon book with offers from all of our vendors. The coupon book will save you more than the $30 you pay to attend the event. The vendors include Angel’s Food Market, Bella Napoli Italian Restaurant, Bruster’s Ice Cream, Beefalo Bob’s, Cheshire Crab, Edible Arrangements #726, Glory Days Grill, Kurtz’s Beach, Lauer’s Supermarket & Bakery, Mutiny Pirate Bar & Island Grille, Pats Select Pizza Grill, Primo Pasta Kitchen, Sam & Maggie’s Dockside Grill, the Greene Turtle, Texas Roadhouse, and The Y of Pasadena (Jack’s Cafe).

Tickets are available on the website by using a credit card and they are also at BB&T (3030 Mountain Road) or Arundel Federal Savings Bank in Lakeshore Plaza. You must pay with a check or cash if purchasing at one of the banks. We are selling only 300 tickets, so don’t delay.

PBA is planning a shop local festival for Saturday, June 16, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. This is a great event to showcase our members. PBA members can set up a tent or use ours and show the community what they have to offer. Check the website for signup information or email pasadenabusinessassociatio1@verizon. If you have a kid-friendly activity at your table, it allows the parents to talk and shop while the children are entertained. We will have face painting and other kid-friendly events for the families. The PBA will collect food donations to help feed our Pasadena families in need.
