PBA Update

Posted

This is a great time to join the Pasadena Business Association and be included in the 5,000 copies of the Membership Directory and Community Guide. The deadline is March 31, so join soon. Visit www.jointhePBA.com for details.

Advertising in the Membership Directory and Community Guide is reasonable, so get your business name in 5,000 homes or businesses for a minimal fee. Check our website, www.pasadenabusinessassociation.com, and look under “Events” for the directory pricing.

Our annual scholarship fundraiser was great. We need to thank all of our sponsors for the evening. Platinum sponsors were Huff Insurance, Murphy’s Fuel Oil, and St. John Properties. Our Gold sponsors were Costello’s Ace Hardware & Hearth, Anne Arundel Community College Foundation, BB&T Bank, and Edward Jones – Brian Conrad. Our Silver sponsors were Arundel Federal Savings Bank, Calvert Veterinary Center, ClearShark, Coterie a Boutique, Northern AACCC, and Raving Software. Our Bronze sponsors were Bruster’s Ice Cream; Cityline Business Park; Clark & Anderson, P.A.; Elsroad Trim; Friends of Nathan Volke; Glory Days Grill; Harbour Liquors; Idea Weaver Promotions; North Arundel Savings Bank; Pasadena Eye Care; Robin and Larry Sells; The Bank of Glen Burnie; and the UPS Store 6913 (Riviera Beach).

We thank everyone who donated silent auction prizes. AA Recycle & Sand, Costello’s Ace Hardware & Hearth, Agency Insurance Company of Maryland, Alibi’s Bar & Grill, BB&T, Best Western BWI/Arundel Mills, Bruster’s Ice Cream, Calvert Veterinary Center, Chesapeake Bank, Coco Couture, Costco, County Executive Steve Schuh, Fieldstone Animal Inn, Huff Insurance, Idea Weaver Promotions, Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu & Tai Chi, Lauer’s Supermarket & Bakery, Mutiny Pirate Bar and Island Grille, Delegate Nic Kipke, Mary Kay Cosmetics (Pam Spearman), Pasadena’s Avon lady Gina Cook, Pasadena Pawn & Gun, Raving Software, Ruth Toomey, Keller Williams – Sam Tanner, Tate Dodge, Texas Roadhouse, the Greene Turtle, The Office Bar & Grill, The Negron Agency/Farmers Insurance, Timbuktu, Two Rivers Steak & Fish House, and Tyrone Dorsey.

The PBA also thanks everyone who donated to the Cooler of Cheer. We could not raise the funds we do without all of these wonderful businesses and also those who purchase the tickets and attend the event. Everyone had fun dancing to music by Guys in Thin Ties and posing for pictures at the photo wall with the available props. The costumes were amazing, and for some attendees, you had to take a double glance to realize who they were.

Remember to shop local and support the businesses that sponsor our schools, churches and sports teams.

We are revamping our Shop Local program and are planning a Shop Local festival in June for all of our PBA members. Watch our website for further details.
