PBA Update

Posted

The Pasadena Business Association had to move its golf tournament from September 12 to September 27 due to this nasty weather. The proceeds from this tournament go into the community assistance fund, which supports the fifth-grade straight-A lunch, Education Excellence Awards, school supply drive, scholarships, Veterans Day ceremony, Caring & Sharing Parade, tree lighting, A Child’s Christmas, a Friends of Downs Park donation, a Friends of Hancock’s Resolution donation, National Night Out, the flag site at Route 100 and Mountain Road, and much more. This tournament is open to the public, and every player receives a voucher for a complimentary future round of golf (no cart). You can register online or email the PBA office.

Our annual crab feast is September 26 at Kurtz’s Beach. You can purchase tickets online or stop by BB&T on Mountain Road or Arundel Federal Savings Bank in Lakeshore Plaza and purchase tickets.

PBA held a school supply drive recently and we received a substantial amount of supplies due to our members and the community. We are coordinating with the counselors at our Pasadena schools to determine their needs and we will fill those needs. Thanks to Mary Brodowski, BB&T and our education committee for all of their hard work. Also, thanks to my grandchildren for sorting all of the supplies.

PBA will hold the annual trade show on October 11, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company. There will be 40 local business vendors in attendance, so stop by. We are gearing up for our annual food drive, so we are asking attendees to bring nonperishable food donations.

Watch our website (www.pasadenabusinessassociation.com) for details about these upcoming events:

Caring & Sharing Parade – November 4

Veterans Day Ceremony – November 11

Tree Lighting Ceremony – December 3
