Emile Debsia and Hooverlay Rodas, owners of the 2 BOLD Chefs & a Mediterranean Food Truck, have purchased a deli in Glen Burnie. Lucia’s International Deli & Catering is located inside the Empire Medical Building. The menu features fresh cut, handmade sandwiches, salads, homemade soups, and their award-winning lamb gyros and chicken shawarmas.
Lucia’s International Deli works closely with the United States Naval Academy on Food Truck Thursdays. Last year, they helped raise money for the Chesapeake K-9, a cause they will support again this year.
Debsia was born and raised in Sudan and is of Italian/Greek descent. He came to the United States at 15 and earned a degree in management and marketing. For nearly 25 years, Debsia worked in, managed and opened hotels, which is where he met Rodas, his business partner. Rodas was born in Colombia and served in the U.S. Army. He was an executive chef in a hotel when he met Debsia.
The deli is open for breakfast and lunch from 7:30am until 2:30pm Monday through Friday. Lucia’s International Deli & Catering is located at 200 Hospital Drive inside the Empire Medical Building on the first floor.
