A pair of U10 Pasadena Soccer Club boys teams excelled throughout the fall season.

Both the PSC U10 Prime and U10 United had solid seasons playing against strong competition.

The Prime went a combined 20-5-4 playing in tournaments as well as the Central Maryland Soccer Association and Beltway Premier League. In both of those leagues, the Prime played up an age division against U11 competition in nine-on-nine play.

The PSC Prime won the championship at the Richmond Cup in Virginia and also placed second in the Overlea Cup, both times playing in U11 brackets.

The team was coached by Jennifer Crocetti, Stephen Abey and Craig Drenning.

“We are all three very proud of the boys’ efforts this season playing against bigger, faster kids,” said Crocetti. “Their growth and determination is unmatchable. The way they move the ball is very impressive to watch. We are very excited to see where this team will go.”

United was PSC’s 2010 developmental squad that progressed very well this season under the leadership of Crocetti and the direction of coaches Brandon Sharp and Luis Martins.

The PSC United went 6-2 in the seven-on-seven U10 division in the CMSA, and they placed second in both the Crownsville and Overlea Cups.

PSC will add another layer to the U10-U11 cohort this winter with Premier, its midlevel team to complement Prime and United, with the goal of working and growing in advance of the spring season.
