The Pasadena Soccer Club U8 Prime boys soccer team had a stellar weekend at the Arundel Cup, going 3-0 to win the tournament.

Wins over South River, Broadneck and Arundel gave the roster of Alex Meakin, Nick Martins, Nolan Drenning, Reed Preslipsky, Dominic Crocetti, Seth Benhayon, Isaac Cicchetti, Cameron Young, Cory Faust, Kolt Kendall, Lawson Abey and Easton Long the tournament championship.

Faust, Martins, Drenning and Kendall scored in a 4-1 win over South River to open the tournament.

Braces by Benhayon and Martins and goals by Crocetti, Kendall, Meakin and Faust highlighted an 8-1 drubbing of Broadneck in the Prime’s next game.

In the championship game, a goal by Young had the PSC Prime tied with Arundel Soccer Association 1-1 with under two minutes to play. That’s when Young sent a cross into the box that was finished by Crocetti to lift the PSC boys to a 2-1 victory and the championship.

The team is 7-1 overall through eight games and playing its first season in the county’s Division I. Drenning is the team’s leading scorer with 11 goals, which included a hat trick against Severna Park. Crocetti and Martins are the next two leading scorers with four goals each, while Abey and Benhayon have three goals each. Benhayon has been outstanding as a first-time goalie, notching a shutout in a 3-0 league win over ASA. Preslipsky has also played well in goal, while Meakin, Cicchetti and Faust have been strong defensively.

The team is coached by Jennifer Crocetti, Stephen Abey and Craig Drenning.
