Question Of The Month: Broadneck Elementary School

Each month, the Severna Park Voice poses a question to a local fifth-grade class. This month, students from Mrs. Fitzpatrick’s class at Broadneck Elementary School answered the question:

“If you could invent a holiday, what would it be and how would we celebrate it?”

My holiday would be called Alf Appreciation Day. We would celebrate by taking two days off work or school to go to a silent retreat or something tranquil like that.

My holiday would be called Amigos Day. It would be celebrated by every friend of yours and you having a party together.

My holiday would be called Lacrosse Game Day because I love playing lacrosse and I love challenges. We would celebrate by playing lacrosse for a day with our family.

My holiday would be called Poké Day. We would get free booster boxes and everyone would wear a Pikachu costume all day.

My holiday would be called Sleep Day. You would stay in PJ’s all day and read all day to celebrate.

My holiday would be called Dog Day. We would celebrate by giving everyone a free dog from the shelter.

If I could invent a holiday, it would be called Who’s Your Favorite Day. You celebrate it by dressing up as your favorite Pokémon and going to PokéPark. If you go to the park, you will receive free Pokémon cards. If you don’t like Pokémon, you do not have to celebrate.
