Northeast baseball defeated Annapolis 5-0 on April 10 behind the shutdown pitching of Austin Anthony. Anthony delivered a masterful performance, striking out 6 and scattering 3 hits against the Panthers to move to 3-0 on the season. Offensively, the Eagles were led by Austin Dillon, who had a triple and 4 RBIs. Matt Lorch had a double, and Brian Titus and Caleb Zaruba each had hits. The Eagles travel to Southern on Friday and host Broadneck and Arundel next week. –via Northeast Athletics

Chesapeake baseball fell 10-5 to South River. Tyler Shadle continued his torrid start to the season, going 2 for 4, but the Seahawks jumped all over Chesapeake pitching to earn the win.

Chesapeake softball defeated South River 12-7 on Wednesday. Jerzie Nutile was 4 for 4 with a double, 2 home runs and 6 RBI. Tristyn Stewart was 4 for 5 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. Charli Smith was 2 for 3 with an RBI. –via @Ches_Athletics
