The Capitol Steps Are Coming To Annapolis May 17

The Capitol Steps are making America grin again? The group of political satirists has been putting politics and scandal to music for more than 30 years, and on May 17, the comedians will come to Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis for a show that starts at 8:00pm.

Recent performances have channeled characters like Donald Trump, Jeff Sessions, Mike Pence, Paul Ryan, Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren, but no Republican or Democrat has been untouchable since 1981 when Ronald Reagan was president and The Capitol Steps got its start as an outfit of Senate staffers planning entertainment for a Christmas party. Since then, the group has been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC and PBS, and can be heard twice a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during its “Politics Takes a Holiday” radio specials.
